The total number of boys securing the perfect ten Cumulative Grade Point Average aka CGPA was too extra than the number of girls this academic year.
The 10th class pass percentage in Central Board of Secondary Education dropped to 90.95 percent from 96.21 % previous year, recording a fall of 5.26%.
Howsoever, the pass percentage of boys enhanced by a maximum margin, climbing from preceding year’s 78.9 to 93.4 per cent; that of girls scaled from 88.6 % to 92.5 per cent.
Whereas 1,05,188 boys have secured a CGPA of 10 points, 1,00,950 girls have marked the perfect number.
The Trivandrum cbse region has the toppest pass percentage scaling at 99.85, chasen by Madras at 99.62 and Allahabad at 98.23 per cent. Delhi reported bad pass percentage, registering a pass percentage of 78.09 per cent competing previous year’s 91.06 per cent with a drop of 13.67 per cent.
CBSE declared the results of 5 regions namely Dehradun, Delhi, Chennai, Trivandrum and Allahabad in the afternoon and another five regions like Chandigarh, Ajmer, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati and Patna published in the evening.
About 16,67,573 students from 16,347 schools had taken the examination at 3,972 exam centres around the nation this year.
This was the previous batch taking the optional board examination for Class 10 examination with the CBSE restoring the mandatory exam from succeeding year.
